join us as we;
* live these lives we have been given
* learn how family looks to our Lord
* deny self
* get to the 'doing' of the hearing (James)
*work on learning not 'my' way or 'your' way, but HIS way {John 14:6}
* hebrews 10:24 it
*realize our depravity and need for the Savior

*submit to one another out of reverence to Christ

week in review

soooo this week...

-Jeremiah became employed as staff at a youth wilderness camp
our lives will be very different now as he will be gone for 8 days, home for 6 and then repeat

-Being the planner/list maker that i am, i was sooo excited (yes, excited) when i found a premade spreedsheet! I wanted one to use for keeping track of our debts and see the progress we make as we are seriously attacking them and paying them down. It calculates everything for you as you enter in what you owe and what your recent payment was.... i love it!  it also let me see (what i had correctly calculated) that if we were to just keep going with the minimum payments we would be debt free in December 2013. So, since we are working the snowball plan, the goal is January 2012- DEBT FREE!!!

-I have been looking online at houses. Although we will not being buy a house until after we are debt free, I want to use this time to see what is out there. Learn what it's going to cost. See what i even like. What is important to me in our house (read: not a starter house. we don't get that phrase. we plan to move into a house that will be with us until the end- Lord willing) and in doing so would you believe i found a house that i actually love every part of it! Jeremiah does too!    All the more motivation...

-almost all settled in. i hope to accomplish a lot of organizational things this week while Jer is away.

-i am still waiting to hear back from my (dream) job. The Lord keeps giving me just enough to keep me holding out for it... i believe it (Hospice) is where he wants me.... hopefully this next week i will have the official interview and continue to move forward with the hiring process...

-my sleep schedule is all out of sorts... i should publish this and go to bed!

i have a love for planners :) :sigh:
 i'm a list maker and a list crosser-off'er.
loose papers will not do. needs to be confined and bound, easily referenced.
i can relive each year through these books.

each one contains
lists, scribbles, thoughts, reminders, diagrams, doodles

(and thee occasional post-it note)

and not just any one will do!

it's been an on going (read: years) journey to find thee every elusive 'perfect' planner- which is constantly being thwarted because for some reason if i like an item (happens at bath and body works too) it end's up being discontinued. so the planner i just spent a year getting used too is now no more. and i have to start anew. ugh.

and i have strict planner needs/requirements that are very hard to find:

* must be DAILY (this means each day gets a page)
*no time stamps
*bigger than a checkbook smaller than a book-book
*soft cover
*fits into purse easily because it will always be with me

this is what i've had the last two years

it was big-ish, yet got the job done.

i was preparing to just go ahead and get it again for next year and then a beautiful thing happened...
 :birds chirping:

while at barnes and nobels i saw this GEM!

granted the one i looked at was navy blue....  it's compact.  not heavy. DAILY and CUTE! and it has a built in bookmark -the bottom corners of the pages are perforated! so you can just rip it off when that day is over!
oh and did i mention it's refillable!
